Questions and answers
What size of company is it for?
Companies of 10 to 300 people, in one country or several.
Is this just another time tracker?
No. Time is one part of it. Wherabout is the whole employment record: contract, schedule, presence, absences to the hour, overtime, pay history, all in one place, and readable by everyone who needs it, from the employee to the manager to the accountant to the auditor. One set of numbers, the same for all of them.
Does it run payroll?
No. Your data is payroll-ready: worked hours, overtime and premium hours already classified, leave in payroll's own units, exported in a click for payslip generation. You keep working with your accountant or employment consultant, who produces the payslips. Then upload the whole company's payslips as one file, and each person receives theirs in the platform.
We already have leave management in our HR system. What is different?
Modern, quick, intuitive, fully automated and fully customizable to how your company works. Balances are counted to the hour, every entitlement is a dated grant, and nothing needs a spreadsheet beside it. Next to older, heavier systems it feels like a breath of fresh air.
Our people do not work nine to five. Does that break it?
No. Part-time, rotating patterns, custom weekly schedules, several locations and time zones are all normal here. A rotating pattern is written once as a rule and applied; balances and overtime follow each person's own schedule, not a standard week.
Our contract rules are unusual. Does it work?
Rules are customizable per contract type and per market: how leave accrues, tiers by seniority, carryover, expiry, the smallest request you allow, what counts as overtime. If yours are genuinely unusual, tell us before you start and we check that they fit.
Somebody changed their mind after approval. Then what?
Cancel it, request again, approve again. Balances update automatically at each step.
How do we know the balances are right?
Because every hour traces to a dated grant, and every use is dated. Open any balance and see what was carried over, what was accrued, what was used and from which grant, with a timestamp on each line. A disputed number is reconstructed in front of the person disputing it.
What can my people see about each other?
Employees see their own record, balances, payslips and requests, plus the org chart and who is available today. Managers see their team's presence and requests. Pay is visible only to the person and to admins with explicit permission for it.
We are in more than one country.
Even better. Each location keeps its own country, public holidays and time zone, and every rule can be customized for each country you operate in. The platform is in English, Italian and French.
How long does it take to set up?
That depends on how clean your data is, and we would rather say so. With it ready, setup is light: create your locations and teams, set up your leave rules and contracts, assign them to people, import everyone's remaining balances, and you are running. Your employment consultant can help keep the data clean along the way.
